In “Helikon-Opera” presented a book by Milana Aldarova “Daedalus. Oratorio”
The presentation took place in the format of a concert that connected poetry, music, vocals.
Excerpts from the book were read by Alla Demidova.
“This genre is quite tried and not only by me. I did this with Kolobov in the “New Opera”, and “The Queen of Spades”, and “Poem without a Hero.”
I did it with the choir and orchestra “Virtuosos of Moscow”, the first time I read “Requiem” by Akhmatova. I like the combination of poetry with music,

Daedalus is a hero of ancient Greek mythology, an artist and an engineer.
It was he who built the famous labyrinth of the Minotaur on the island of Crete, and also created wings on which he ascended to the sky with his son Icarus, who died in flight.
