Fox Studio, together with the film company Kino Industries, will develop an interactive movie called “Choose Your Adventure” (Choose Your Own Adventure), viewers who can use the application to control the plot and characters right during the viewing.

Kino Industries owns the technology CtrlMovie, which allows visitors to the theater to control what is happening on the screen through a special application in the phone. Choosing how the characters behave at one time or another, viewers can change the story, timing and ending. At the same time, the creators promise that the change will proceed smoothly, without cutting eyes, between the scenes.

Speaking to the audience during the CinemaCon, the representative of the studio Chris Aronson said that Fox has always tried to use the latest technology to enhance the viewing experience of the movie.

The film is based on the eponymous series of children’s books-games, first published in 1979. The narrative is conducted from the second person, where the reader acts as a protagonist and must choose the action that is necessary from his point of view, which influences the further passage. In the 1980s and 1990s, “Choose Your Adventure” was one of the most popular children’s series.
